| Check out this gorgeous pre-owned Gretsch '59 Penguin Relic with a sonic blue finish, masterbuilt by highly skilled Stephen Stern. This Penguin is built of an arched laminated maple top on a chambered mahogany body, a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, halfmoon inlays, vintage size frets, a bone nut, TV Jones Classic pickups, a Gretsch Synchro-Sonic bridge, "G" Cadillac tailpiece, Grover Imperial tuners, and gold hardware. As with any guitar that we've seen built by Stephen Stern, the playability and looks of this instrument are quite exceptional. There's some finish checking around the body with a few small dings here and there, nothing too over the top.
